It has been a long time since I created a template for serendipity (s9y). BlackLens is an original two column template with a horizontal top navigation bar, customizable footer and a fancy header.

You can customize the footer and the top navigation bar under serendipity admin area > manage styles. There is also the option to customize the anchor text for the extended entry link. BlackLens is fully open source and free to use. It’s released under the GNU GPL license.
